The Year of Threes
Well, here I am on May 30th… realizing that I am 33 years old this year, and thinking about our third child on the way.
I tried to come up with some other clever evidence that this is the year of threes… like, if you add the digits of the year “2011″ and subtract 1, you get “3″ as a result… spooky!… okay, it is a bit of a stretch..
Three has always been a lucky number for me. It was my hockey number. I was born on the 30th, my wife on the 13th… coincidence? Perhaps. In any case, this is bound to be a good year.
And yes… you read the first sentence of this post correctly… we have a third baby on the way! Three kids… what can I say? It is exciting and frightening at the same time. I’m sure it will go well and we are very happy to welcome a third child to The Dad Jam family.
So you can expect some Jams near the end of the year about baby care once again! This third time around should bring some new insights.. since all babies are different, we may discover some new things that work and some things that we thought worked that no longer work.
You can also expect some posts with poor grammar, bad spelling, confusion, complaints of lack of sleep, and more. We all know, there are bright and dark sides to having a newborn… but luckily the bright sides make the dark sides easier to get through and more easily forgotten.
I’ll also let you know what works for us in terms of juggling three kids… and their meals, bedtime routines, and the like. If you have any tips or advice you want to share as well, those are of course always welcome!
So let the year of threes continue, onward and upward… is it a coincidence that this is also the year of the rabbit? hmmm….
